2022 Colors of Success DEI Award

The Colors of Success DEI Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the greater Rochester community with clear positive impacts as a result of these efforts. This award is our highest recognition for individual achievement related to DEI and is awarded annually.

The application must have a min of 300 words under each criteria with tangible results. Recommendation letters, with attachments and examples of DEI programs, policies, initiatives implemented in the workplace, or the community, will be an added bonus when rating the individual nominee/applicant.

Nomination Deadline: Friday, July 22, 2022

An individual can be nominated or self-nominate.

Who can nominate?
If you are a colleague, partner, family, or friend of an individual in the greater Rochester area that you are proud to tell the world about their exemplary diversity and inclusion initiatives, take the step and nominate them. Nominations recognizing individuals from diverse industries are encouraged. You may self-nominate too. 


Evaluation Procedures:
The award will be judged by a panel of business leaders in the community with diversity, equity, and inclusion expertise who will individually review and rate the applications. The Colors of Success DEI Award finalists will be revealed shortly after the application deadline date – Friday July 22, 2022

 Colors of Success DEI Award Winner Announced: 

The 2022 Annual Colors of Success DEI Award winner will only be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

Supporting documents and recommendation letters are encouraged to assist with judging an applicant. You may submit up to four files only.

1. How has the applicant/nominee demonstrated sustained support towards advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace?

2. How has the applicant/nominee provided direct contribution to DEI related programs, policies, or initiatives that positively impact the status of a community issue/initiative?

3. Provide examples of how the applicant/nominee has couched and/or mentored others in the workplace, or in the community, as it relates to you DEI journey:
