Course Objective: This course explores how organizations manage conflict, uphold fairness, and build productive relationships between employees, management, and, where applicable, unions. Misclassification, inconsistent discipline, bad documentation, retaliation traps — HR sees the red flags first. Students will learn how to conduct better investigations, confidently apply labor law, design disciplinary systems, negotiate effectively, and strengthen workplace culture. If you want to influence how organizations handle their most challenging moments, this course gives you the tools through interactive discussion on the following:
About the Series: This course is one module of the six-part HR Management Training Series, a comprehensive, hands-on series of 6 HR-related classes designed to meet the needs of HR professionals at varying levels - it will refresh knowledge for those already in the HR profession, provide a comprehensive overview of HR policies and practices for newer HR professionals, and also help build knowledge for those in other positions that have been assigned HR responsibilities including non-HR managers and supervisors. In class exercises and discussion help reinforce the learning. Registrants may register for any of the half-day modules of interest or for all of the module(s) (6 half-day modules available).
