SBC Cares 2025 Thanksgiving Appeal

Description

Each year, the Small Business Council (SBC), a Greater Rochester Chamber affiliate, provides Thanksgiving food boxes to families in need. Participating companies will drop off their food boxes to Innovative Field on Friday November 21. On Saturday November 22 volunteers deliver the boxes to local, not-for-profit organizations who serve those in need.

This year the SBC aims to support over 4,000 local families. Thanks to your generosity, the SBC has donated over $1.25 million in food supplies to families in need over the last 20 years!

Ways to help:
(Please confirm your commitment by November 14, 2025)

1. Build Boxes:

  • Register your box commitment via the black button at the top right of the page.  
  • Once registered, work with your organization to gather all the needed food and gift card items for each box as indicated in the orange checklist below.
  • The SBC will provide the boxes. See the details below for instructions on how to get your boxes.
  • Place all gift cards in one envelope and hand it to an SBC volunteer at drop-off.

If you are donating less than 30 boxes:

  • Empty boxes will be available for pick up starting in October.
  • Schedule a time to pick up your boxes from RW Dake
  • Contact Kevin Hammond at 585-381-2500 x 170 or khammond@rwdake.com.
  • Pickup location: RW Dake, 100 Bluff Drive, East Rochester, NY 14445.
  • Drop off completed boxes at Innovative Field on Nov. 21 between 9am- 4pm (no appointment needed)

If you are donating more than 30 boxes:

  • A volunteer from the SBC will contact you in early November to schedule a day to drop off the empty boxes to you.
  • Pickup routes and time slots will be shared the week of Nov. 17. We will pick up completed boxes on 11/21/2025.
  • You may also drop off boxes yourself on Nov. 21 (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) at Innovative Field—please notify us in advance.

2. Make Individual Food Item Contributions

3. Make a Donation:

Donate funds for the SBC to build additional food boxes (each valued at $50) and provide additional support organizations in need.
