DESCRIPTION:*In Person Training* Course Objective: The laws change constantly   and ignorance is risky. You learn how to spot risk before it becomes a problem. You learn how to translate legal requirements into everyday practice . Policies\, investigations\, accommodations\, scheduling\, pay decisions   this is where compliance becomes culture.   This course provides a practical\, HR‑focused overview of current labor law changes and compliance requirements. Students learn how to apply legal standards to real workplace situations\, including classification\, wage‑and‑hour rules\, protected leave\, discrimination\, documentation\, and employee rights. Designed for practitioners   not attorneys   this course equips students to identify risk\, support fairness\, and ensure organizational compliance by providing in depth information on the following topics: Wage and Hour RulesFLSA ClassificationManaging Protected LeavesReasonable AccommodationsAbout the Series: This course is one module of the six-part HR Management Training Series\, a comprehensive\, hands-on series of 6 HR-related classes designed to meet the needs of HR professionals at varying levels - it will refresh knowledge for those already in the HR profession\, provide a comprehensive overview of HR policies and practices for newer HR professionals\, and also help build knowledge for those in other positions that have been assigned HR responsibilities including non-HR managers and supervisors. In class exercises and discussion help reinforce the learning. Registrants may register for any of the half-day modules of interest or for all of the module(s) (6 half-day modules available).
