The EEOC’s revamped pay reporting requirements are on the “top 10” list of employment issues for 2019. In 2018, the White House suspended pay data reporting on the revised EEO-1, but in a series of orders in March and April, 2019 a Court ordered the EEOC to collect the data. On May 3, 2019, the EEOC issued a notice stating that, pursuant to the Court’s orders, it will require all employers to submit EEO-1 Component 2 pay data for both 2017 and 2018 by September 30, 2019. Join us as Sharon P. Stiller, Esq., director of the Employment Law Group at Abrams Fensterman LLP discusses the checkered history of the requirement, the reasons for it, and how to comply with the current requirements.
