Future Leaders: Give + Grow ROC: How To Make A Difference on Non-Profit Boards
Looking for a way to advance your career, get better networked, and do good for others? The boards of many local non-profits are comprised of business leaders who use their skills to help these organizations make a difference in their community. Increasingly, non-profits are seeking more young professionals to join their boards for the fresh perspectives, creativity, and new ideas that they bring to the table.
Whether you are a young professional looking for a non-profit board opportunity that can utilize your skills and ignite your passion, or already have a board position and are looking to maximize the value to yourself and your organization, join us for the first Future Leaders series event of the year at our Partner member, the United Way of Greater Rochester.
At this event, hear from a panel of young business leaders who are currently making a difference on non-profit boards, as they share some of their firsthand experiences, challenges, and success stories. We’ll also learn more about the charitySTRONG online resource, an e-learning and digital matching program that serves board candidates and non-profits throughout New York State, and that provides both new and experienced board members and chief executives with training and leadership resources to support organizational success.
Afterwards, join us at Rohrbach’s Beer Hall on Railroad St. for a networking happy hour to make connections and discuss lessons learned.
