2020 will ring in a new decade, and another multitude of changes for employers to heed. Along with the continuing increases to the minimum wage and paid family leave benefits for employees at the state level, New York employers must also navigate a host of employee-friendly changes to the New York Human Rights Law, as well as a new ban on inquiries about salary history. At the federal level, changes to the minimum annual salary for Fair Labor Standards Act exemptions are scheduled to take effect come January 1, and the NLRB continues to relax the landscape for union and non-union employers alike. Please join us as Kimberly Harding, attorney at Nixon Peabody, discusses these and other changes.
