At this joint Greater Rochester Quality Council and Rochester Chamber event March 20, explore what it will take to create a manufacturing renaissance in the Greater Rochester region. Harvard Business School professor and former Kodak, IBM, and Silicon Graphics high-tech executive Willy Shih and a panel of local experts gather to give their forecast. A renaissance involves strengthening the link between manufacturing and innovation, developing advanced manufacturing operations and support structures, and educating the workforce at all levels. The program also looks at government support for key initiatives. The event includes a networking cocktail reception prior to Willy Shih’s keynote presentation and the panel discussion.
