Employers are often challenged with choices regarding paid time off. Is it best to offer a single allotment of paid time off (PTO) versus separate amounts of sick, vacation and/or personal time? What about the increasingly-popular "unlimited" PTO? Should employers allow employee donation of PTO or other paid leave to coworkers? Join us as Paul F. Keneally, partner at Underberg & Kessler LLP, discusses these issues as well as how employers should handle the misuse of PTO or other paid leave, the interplay of PTO or other paid leave with the 2018 New York State Paid Family Leave Law, the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, and the state and federal disability discrimination laws.
