Greater Rochester International Student Facts:

• Greater Rochester is home to 19 colleges and universities and 75,000 college students. Of those 75,000 college students, nearly 25,000 of them are international - one third of our higher education population. 
• While domestic college enrollment has steadily decreased the past 10 years, the United States had a 12% increase in international student enrollment last year – the fastest growth rate in more than 40 years.
• When asked if being an international student is a barrier when applying for jobs and internships in the Greater Rochester region, the average response from the student was 4.10 on a 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree) scale.
