Today’s job market is as competitive as it’s ever been. But many businesses have small profit margins and wonder whether it is necessary, or even possible, to raise wages to compete with companies that have already done so. We also know that raising wages alone does not solve all workforce challenges. 

Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and the Rochester Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI) have partnered to help convey best practices and strategies to help members attract, hire, develop, and retain talent. They'll share community resources they can utilize to assist with employment support, including strategies for raising wages and opportunities to offset the costs of raising wages.

We'll also delve into current workforce data in Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, and what trends in the data mean for employers. Attendees will receive a brief overview of initiatives and programs focused on improving employment outcomes in our local labor market.
