Projects as a Pipeline: Micro-Internships

Wednesday, April 12, 2023 (8:30 AM - 10:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

*Hybrid Event*

Join Greater Rochester Chamber's CampusROC program for our first micro-internship information session.

Most employers are familiar with the traditional internship concept, but may not have heard of a micro-internship. A micro-internship is a short term, paid professional project completed by college students or recent graduates. Micro-Internships let you engage, assess, and hire students and grads more effectively, on-demand, and without adding to your workload.

Join us in person or virtually as we review actionable steps to help you operate a successful micro-internship program — one that adds value to your organization, helps build your talent pipeline, promotes, actively encourages diversity and inclusion in your organization, and improves your organization’s brand as an employer of choice.

In-person space is limited, so only 2 per company may register to attend in person. This event is open to all Greater Rochester organizations, with priority in-person attendance given to Greater Rochester Chamber Members.

Coffee and pastries will be served. Optional Innovation Square tour to follow session.

Parking and Building Entrance Information

Parking is available underneath Innovation Square – the “garage door” may be down appearing like the garage is closed, however as you approach it will open. Grab a ticket and find a spot.

Innovation Square is home to several area college students, therefore the doors to enter the building are locked. You’ll need to push the buzzer next to the door and the security guard will buzz you in. Make your way up the escalators until you reach the lobby.

A Chamber staff member will be in the lobby to greet you and lead you upstairs.
