SBC Boot Camp: Utilizing BOCES Career & Technology Students to Handle Your Employment Shortage
Wednesday, June 8, 2022 (3:30 PM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
*In Person Event*
Greater Rochester Chamber's affiliate, the Small Business Council, offers these Boot Camp Series that provide the highest level of advice, counsel and ideas to help business owners, senior managers, and employees grow and thrive during these challenging, changing times. Each SBC Boot Camp workshop is preceded by networking with your friends and colleagues. In today’s business climate, many business managers find themselves caught up in the day-to-day management and execution of their business responsibilities. There’s little time to pursue the necessary training and development that will help grow the business.
Cindy Christensen, Brandilyn Gage and Leslie Tanner from Monroe 2 Orleans BOCES will engage participants in a discovery of how local businesses can partner with Career and Technology (CTE) programs to improve the skills gap and tap into a hidden workforce group. Industry-CTE partnerships offer opportunities for collaboration on curriculum development, connect industry professionals and educational partners, provide relationships with worksite mentors and students, create skilled and motivated employees and an opportunity to provide community service at your workplace.
