2026 Signature Conference Series & Signature Awards Breakfast

Thursday, January 8, 2026 9:00 AM - Thursday, January 22, 2026 11:00 AM (EST)

Description

Action for a Better Community’s 2026 Signature Conference, "Strength & Solidarity: Rising Together Through Uncertain Times", comes at a pivotal moment for nonprofits, human service organizations, and the communities we serve. In the wake of the recent government shutdown—whose effects continue to ripple across funding streams, service continuity, and community trust—our sector faces heightened uncertainty, unprecedented challenges, and an urgent call for shared resilience.

For organizations like ABC, which are deeply rooted in community action and equity-centered service, the shutdown highlights the fragility of support systems and the essential role nonprofits play in responding quickly and compassionately to community needs. As federal resources stall or become unstable, nonprofits are not only scrambling to sustain operations—they are becoming lifelines for individuals and families most impacted by these disruptions.

The 2026 Signature Conference will elevate the power of unity, cross-sector partnership, innovation, and advocacy. Through two virtual knowledge-sharing sessions on January 8th &  15th, 2026, and an in-person Awards Breakfast on January 22nd, 2026, that celebrates individual and corporate champions of community service, we will explore how nonprofits, higher-ed, philanthropy, and the business sectors can adapt, sustain impact, and emerge stronger—together.

Conference Objectives

  • Elevate awareness of current challenges and opportunities related to the recent government shutdown.
  • Strengthen cross-sector collaboration and advocacy for sustainable solutions.
  • Promote innovation, resilience, and organizational sustainability.
  • Center equity and community voice in response planning and service delivery.
  • Celebrate leadership and community champions who exemplify service.
  • Mobilize strategic partnerships to support long-term impact.

Together, we can rise.
In challenging times, it is not just resilience that sustains us —
but shared purpose, unity, and collective strength.

Pricing

A one-day or two-day conference ticket costs $75. The in-person Awards Breakfast tickets are $50. Tickets for the Awards Breakfast are limited. For more information and to register online, go to https://www.abcinfo.org/events/2026-signature-conference-series/.
