Join the NY Reparations Commission for a free public business meeting featuring updates on the Commission's ongoing work in New York State.
The primary focus of this business meeting is to address the internal business of the Commission, including discussions, decision-making, planning, and voting on resolutions as necessary. A quorum of at least five commissioners must be present to hold any votes.
While this meeting is open to the public, time for public comment may be limited to a short period at the end of the meeting. The meeting will also be live-streamed on the Commission's YouTube channel, and video recordings will be available on the Commission's website for later viewing.
The NYSCCRR was established to examine the legacy of slavery and systemic discrimination in New York State and is tasked with developing proposals to address longstanding racial inequities and harms experienced by Black communities.
